Daniel patented an electric glass-cutting machine which facilitated the production of crystal glass and that prompted the company to be set up. His financier Armand Kosman and Franz Weis founded the Swarovski company and run a factory in Wattens, Tyrol. Its crystal range includes crystal sculpture and miniatures, jewelry and couture, home decor and chandeliers. The logo of it was an edelweiss flower but it was replaced with the swan logo in 1988. However, it is currently marked with simple Swarovski name. In addition, the Swarovski Group includes Daniel Swarovski (jewelry, handbags, accessories and interior design objects), Schonbek (a crystal chandelier manufacturer). It runs a crystal-themed indoor theme park at its original Wattens site. The Crystal Worlds centre is fronted by a grass-covered head, the mouth of which is a fountain.
