For many women, wearing cosmetics is essential every day. It makes them bright and confident. There are a variety of cosmetics companies in the market but Shu Uemura seems to be peculiar not only in design but in profession.









After recovering from a serious illness in teenage, Shu Uemura grew interest in hairstyling and make up. Experiencing a short cooperation with a Japanese film, he left for Hollywood to engage in film and television make-up business. A sudden chance to fill in for the sick artist turned him to be one of Hollywood’s favorite artists. Thereafter, he began working with well known Hollywood personalities.
















He launched his cosmetics products in 1960. A unique make-up philosophy of him is the health of skin. For him, natural beauty is more important than artificial one. In 1980, Shu Uemura Cosmetics was a major force in the domestic Japanese and international beauty market. Its most famous product is the cleansing oil.


































Nowadays, it designs many products with art concepts in packages and its product line has expanded over many circles. It’s a brand that combines aesthetics and reality together. On catwalk, many fashion designers insist cooperating with Shu Uemura products, especially fake eyelashes, for its exaggerating effects. Although they are of high prices, their qualities worth of them.

A tailor, Jacob Davis, and Levi Strauss& Co go into business together one day for jeans products. Modern jeans began to appear in 1920s, but sales are confined to certain consumers, especially for the working people of western United States like lumberjacks, railroad workers and cowboys. When Easterners took vacation back home from the West, they brought back the tales of the hard-wearing pants with rivets. This is the first time that Levi’s jeans were introduced to the East. When WWⅡ happened, jeans became a necessary commodity and were only sold to those who engaged in defense work. In the 1950s and 1960s, Levi’s jeans became popular among many youth subcultures, such as hippies. Its popular shrink-to-fit 501s were still sold nowadays.

At past, only workers wear jeans. However, jeans are a trend among people and it’s pretty common to see people in jeans. Moreover, more and more jeans have delicate diamonds and crystals as the decoration on pockets. The functions of jeans are more than just a jean. They can shape people into a nice figure and sometimes provide a good match for clothes. For me, jeans are absolutely a good choice for daily wear.
