Swarovski is a world famous brand of crystal’s company and it produces a lot of related products and amazes the public.

Swarovski was found in 1895 by Armand Kosman and Franz Weis using Daniel Swarovski’s expertise at glass-cutting and his family name. Daniel patented an electric glass-cutting machine which facilitated the production of crystal glass and that prompted the company to be set up. His financier Armand Kosman and Franz Weis founded the Swarovski company and run a factory in Wattens, Tyrol. Its crystal range includes crystal sculpture and miniatures, jewelry and couture, home decor and chandeliers. The logo of it was an edelweiss flower but it was replaced with the swan logo in 1988. However, it is currently marked with simple Swarovski name. In addition, the Swarovski Group includes Daniel Swarovski (jewelry, handbags, accessories and interior design objects), Schonbek (a crystal chandelier manufacturer). It runs a crystal-themed indoor theme park at its original Wattens site. The Crystal Worlds centre is fronted by a grass-covered head, the mouth of which is a fountain.
With its reputation, many entertainers like Beyonce wear clothes with Swarovski crystals in their concerts to boost the atmosphere. Recently, it released products for different parts of our bodies and for other purposes. No wonder it will be the top brand of crystals.

Pringles were founded in the U.S and it was produced by Procter&Gamble. The name of it was selected from a telephone book due to its pleasing sound. At first, other snack manufacturers opposed that Pringles didn’t meet the definition of a potato chips since potato chips made from dried potatoes. However, Pringles have less than 50% potato content so it chose to rename their products “potato crisps”. Unfortunately, another issue happened in the UK for the term “potato crisps” refers to the product that the Americans call “potato chips”. In 2008, they won the accusing and didn’t need to pay Valued Added Tax for potato chips and potato-derived snacks.

Its logo is a stylized cartoon caricature of the head of the male figure and it is commonly known as Julius Pringles. He has a large mustache and parted bangs and it is easy to recognize. I’m lovin it- McDonald

I remember in my childhood my friends and I like to eat McDonald because there are always some surprises along with “kid meal”. Every time when I saw my classmates’ parents bring them McDonald for lunch I was really envy of that. For kids, it is really an award to eat and play in McDonald. For students and adults, it is a place providing us to study and hanging out with friends.

McDonald’s is the leading global fastfood retailer with more than 31,000 local restaurants all over the world. The business began with a restaurant opened by brothers Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernardino in 1940. They introduce the “Speedee Service System” and established the principles of the modern fastfood restaurant. At first, the mascot of McDonald’s was a man with a chef’s hat on top of a hamburger shaped head whose name was “Speedee.” It was eventually replaced with Ronald McDonald. Later, with the expansion of McDonald into many International markets, the company has become a symbol of globalization and the spread of the American way of life. It also makes people discuss about obesity, corporate ethics and consumer responsibility. They release many kinds of flavors irregularly and many of them are very popular among the public, such as Big Mac and Chicken McNuggets. Many adults like to bring their children there because there are usually some playgrounds in the store so that the parents can relax and accompany their children at the same time.

The first time when I pass by the store of MUJI, its clear light and tidy decoration immediately attract my attention. Going into it, I found that there are a lot of self-made products which are beautiful without redundant packaging. It is a famous Japanese retail company which sells a variety of household and consumer goods.

It is said that its name is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryohin, which means “No Brand Quality Goods”. It started with 40 products and now there are more than 7000 products included. In summer, I always want to eat ice cream as my recreation because the weather in Taiwan is usually really hot. We often see actors or actresses have Starbucks’ coffee in hand before they get to work or when they take a break. In our daily life, many people study or chat with friends in the café of Starbucks. It provides small tables for individuals and twin sofas as alternative choices for people. In addition, it releases many new products not only for coffee items, but also for snacks, breakfast and coffee alternatives. An example like blended coffee” frappuccino” is popular among people for its variety flavors.

Starbucks first opened in Seattle, Washington, United States. After it set up its goal to start beverage business, they opened its first locations outside Seattle in US. Later, it expanded its territory to more than 40 countries inclusive of those in Oceania, Europe, Africa and Asia. In 2008, it both improved itself and faced challenges. The chairman of Starbucks must determine how to contend with higher materials prices and enhanced competition from lower-price fast food chains, including McDonald’s. For improvement, it announced its hope to enter the energy drink market by no longer using pre-ground coffee beans. Then, it called the coffee “fresh-pressed” coffee system.








Store closures did happen amid growing economic uncertainty in 2008. The cuts included layoffs and closing to boost its profit. In 2009, it was in its low tide in US since a store in NY was bombed. Apple:Advanced Products with Fashion Ever






The first time I had my own Apple product was in my high school. I exchanged a PSP, which is my award in a Christmas party, with my dad for an iPod nano. Compared to other Mp3 players, it first catches my attention with its delicate appearance. Later, I love its multiple functions and classification of songs. The categories included “favorite songs” and “songs which are played frequently recently” help me to find what I want to listen to immediately. Because of iPod, it makes me want to get to know Apple Inc. more.

Apple was established to produce motherboard. With many improvements, the company competed with IBM and Microsoft in the business and corporate computing market. During 1986-1993, Apple experimented with a number of other failed consumer targeted products including digital cameras, portable CD audio players, speakers, video consoles, and TV appliances. However, its economy began to slide after it competed to Microsoft. After Steve Job was brought back as an advisor, he restricted the company’s product line.
Recently, the iMac design team has designed the iPod and iPhone. They featured modern technology and unique designs and it sold close to 800,000 units in its first five months and returned Apple Inc. to profitability for the first time since 1993. Later, it expanded into the digital video editing market and opened official Apple Retail Stores. In addition, it has a partnership with Intel and invents many advanced products in the market.



The revolution of Apple makes it a pioneer leader in the 3C market. Although it faced many dilemmas during the recession, it recovered from it and made a breakthrough. Whenever it released its latest product, it always sparkles people and breaks record of sales.

The Pioneer of Fashion:Louis Vuitton

When I was walking along the street in Kyoto, I couldn’t take my eyes off the sign for it is so shinning and fascinating. It is not surprising that this one of the recognizable brand attracts people’s attention with exquisite design and always leads fashion trends all over the world.

The founder of LV, Louis Vuitton, was a renowned trunks and luggage retailer. He designed suitcases for aristocrats such as India Queen and French president. After his descendants succeeded his company and made some improvements like waterproof and fireproof. The material is called PVC, which is used to be canvas and it can bear abrasion. There are some examples to evidence the successful improvements. First, in the movie” Titanic”, an LV trunk was dredged up from the bottom of the sea and it was found that there was no water permeating into it. Second, decades of years ago, a LV customer’s house caught fire and almost everything was burned out. However, a LV bag only changed shape without anything destroyed inside.

The two story made a legend for LV and it convinces people that its quality is worthy to its high price. Therefore, LV is adored by high class people and also it is an index about fashion in public. When it issues a new product or holds a show, it will always hit the headline. Nevertheless, good reputation sometimes results in some problems. People who aren’t upscale want to keep up with fashion, too. They can’t afford it so they buy fakes instead. There are more and more similar examples like this so that the fake retailers produce fakes largely even though they know it is an illegal way. It should be embarrassing for LV that it is the most counterfeited brands in the fashion world.

Nowadays, LV sells not just handmade trunks. It also specializes in leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses and books. Many limited-edition products impress people every year. In collaboration with Marc Jacobs, bags that featured graffiti written over the monogram pattern were released in 2001. In 2003, LV created the Cherry Blossom pattern due to the collaboration with Takashi Murakami. In addition, flagship stores are inaugurated in New York, Shanghai and many big cities around the world. Its brand itself is estimated to be worth USD 19.395 billion.

LV is an image as a state of symbol. For me, the products are the presentation of fine art, too. We should respect the patents of artificers rather than imitate them for fortunate. Thanks for the designers’ talent so our world will be not so dull but colorful.
